My Psychological Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy works to discover and change thought and behavioural patterns that lie at the heart of a person’s unhappiness, stress, dysfunction and lack of fulfilment. I practice using an integrative psychotherapy model which is embedded in an interactional understanding of the client. Through this process I utilize reflective, cognitive-behavioural and experiential techniques in meeting the needs of the individual.
Therapeutic focus areas usually include (but not limited to): Substance addiction/abuse Emotional skills training (improving emotional regulation & insight), stress management (enhancing self-care & problem solving), identity formation and self-esteem development (developing clear sense of self), anxiety disorders and panic attacks, stress and anger management, depression and mood disorders

Couples Therapy
The goal of couples/marriage counselling is to restore a better level of functioning in couples through identifying the difficulties, needs and destructive patterns between partners, and then changing them.
Couples or marriage counselling can be an effective way to break out of negative communication cycles, gain new perspective and understanding of each other in the relationship context and address specific relationship obstacles.
Family Therapy
This process is structured to address specific issues that negatively affect the health and functioning of a family. It views individual problems in the context of the larger family unit by exploring the dynamics, needs, communication styles and behavioural patterns embedded in the family system.
Family members are enabled to express themselves more efficiently, resolve conflict more effectively and assist each other in more constructive patterns of interaction.
